2022: Set the Standard

2022: Set the Standard

By: Paul Danos |
Owner and Member of the Danos Board of Directors

Last Monday, we formally introduced our 2022 strategic plan. This was the next step in a process that started in August of 2021 and will go through then end of 2022. For the rest of this year, we will continue to work on and communicate this strategy. This article is another step in that communication process. Before I get into what the strategy is, let me give a little background.

First, let’s be clear on what strategy is. I like to describe strategy as our plan to win. Winning feels great, but more importantly, winning at Danos is a significant enabler for the growth of our company. Company growth is a significant enabler for creating opportunities for our team members to develop. And developing people is a part of our purpose.

Like all good plans to win, our strategy has many layers. We have a theme, supported by strategic priorities, supported by strategic initiatives, supported by projects and tasks. Each layer gets more detailed and specific. Today I’ll introduce our theme and our strategic priorities.

The theme is simple: “Set the Standard.” Sound familiar? It sounds a lot like our vision statement.  It’s rooted in that desire to win and be the best. We expect to perform at the level to which our competitors aspire. More than that, we want them to have to look at Danos to figure out what the standard is.

In support of that theme, we have three strategic priorities: Set the standard, employee experience and transformational growth. Below I’ll define each priority, and you'll learn more about the initiatives that support them throughout the year.

Set the standard - Consistently operating at a level of excellence that others aspire to

Employee experience - Designing the experience at Danos for employees from attraction through retirement that aligns with who we say we are and who we want to be.

Transformational growthAdding new services and pursuing energy transition opportunities that support our customers’ goals and strengthen the future of Danos.

We will be sharing plenty of details throughout the year. I hope this information is helpful for you as you get familiar with our 2022 strategy. More importantly, I hope this is a step in moving you to understand how the things you do daily, as well as changes in your work, support our strategy for 2022. Let’s win!
