Danos Completes First Solar Installation Project

By: Juan Torres |
General Manager of Permian Projects

In mid-October, Danos completed its first solar installation project. This project marks the first mechanical installation of solar modules. The Bryan Station is a 12 MW facility managed by our client SOLV in Presidio, Texas, a small town of 4,000 on the U.S.-Mexico border.

SOLV first reached out to Danos regarding maintenance work at the Bryan Station in November of 2020. At that time, Danos had little experience in the world of renewables. Anxious to expand into the fast-growing market, Danos provided an estimate of labor for this work, as well as a rate sheet for the Permian Basin. Business Development Representative Paul Quintero has continued to develop the relationship with SOLV, following up on the potential work in Presidio.  After nearly a year, the client had the authorization to proceed with the module replacement.

One of Danos’ first solar projects was performed mid-March of 2021. It was a small cable-maintenance project in Arizona. That opportunity and successful execution lead to over 32 proposals over the last year and a backlog of projects into 2022, with an estimated revenue over $1 million. To date, Danos has successfully completed six projects for SOLV.

Expanding our footprint in the renewables market is one way we are working toward our strategy of Transformational Growth.
