Danos is Open to Change

By: Eric Danos |
Owner and Member of the Danos Board of Directors

Some days the changes within our industry feel nothing short of revolution. But when we step back and look at what’s happening with a sense of perspective, the story is really one of evolution that has been going on for as long as Danos has been a company.

No matter what the pace of change is – whether you think it is revolution or evolution - we know that in the future, Danos’ services will be different. We have a strategy that recognizes this and is positioning Danos for the future. Our goal is to leverage the things we are great at and the resources we have been blessed with. We do not expect to significantly change our strengths over time, but how we use them to serve customers probably will change. You might see this take shape in different types of services in our portfolio.

The way this plays out in our strategy happens mainly in two ways. First, we need our customer-facing employees to uncover unmet challenges. We look at these opportunities and ask a couple of questions: is this a business opportunity, and is it something our organization can be excellent at? We have had a number of opportunities like this bubble up to the executive team. Several are in different stages of being evaluated.

The second way we approach this is to study the impact regulatory and demand changes have on the market. The trick is to use that information to anticipate what types of services might be needed, sometimes even before they are asked for. This allows us to develop or acquire the ability to meet those demands. Our board has been challenging us in several specific areas where we are working out how we can create opportunities for Danos to play a significant role.

One of our high-performance culture traits is Open to Change which we define as “willingly participates in new ways to improve outcomes.” Let’s embrace change together as we build the future of Danos.
