Danos Strengthens Fleet Management
Each year Danos introduces a strategic plan for the company. This year the theme is “Set the Standard,” with one of the initiatives focusing on transformational growth. The fleet department has been working hard to align with this and strengthen our future. We are excited to announce a partnership with a new fleet management company, Holman (ARI) Fleet & Automotive Services.
Previously the fleet team used multiple systems and spreadsheets. This new partnership will transition our fleet to align with Danos’ overall measure of success, focusing on the entire life cycle of the fleet: Buy-Drive-Service-Sell. The partnership brings new technology such as Holman Insights and the Holman Driver Insights App. These features allow managers and drivers to view real time information on the fleet from lease cost, fuel cost, mileage, GPS and driver information. The new system will allow Danos’ internal customers to understand the total cost of operations and give users the ability to navigate and view vehicle/driver information efficiently.
In addition to changes with our fleet management partner, we have changes within the team. Katie Smith assumed the role of Fleet Supervisor on October 1. In June 2021, she transitioned to the commercial, risk and asset group from the accounting. Christina Carmello, who has served as travel coordinator, will now also assume the role of asset support specialist, focusing on Holman “insights.” Katie and Christina have been working diligently on these improvements for the past six months and will continue to work through the transition and implementation of the new partnership.
