The Gift of Service

The Gift of Service

Research has shown that there is a positive change in the mental wellbeing of people that volunteer. There is a positive correlation between volunteering and gratitude, trust and wellbeing. When we sacrifice our time and knowledge with the intention of improving at least one person’s life, we are increasingly mindful of our own blessings.

For 2023, the Danos Foundation is focusing on spreading the good news about service. There are a multitude of verses in the Bible that encourage followers of Jesus to honor God by serving others and helping those in need. Danos wants to support organizations that our employees serve and are passionate about. Through the WORKS program, Danos does just that by paying these nonprofit organizations $10 for every hour of service logged.

Helen Keller once said, "Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much." Let’s come together and live out the Danos purpose of “solving big challenges for our communities,” one hour at a time.
