Growing Our Downstream Business

Growing Our Downstream Business

By: Chase Clement |
Sales and Business Development Representative

In order to engage with potential customers in the downstream industry, Danos has joined the Association of Builders and Contractors (ABC). As a member of ABC, we can utilize the services of any one chapter. There are 69 chapters across the nation, and each chapter specializes in specific training. These trainings are associated with hands-on performance verifications.

Danos is a member of the Bayou Chapter, headquartered in the St Rose Area, which specializes in:

• Carpentry
• Industrial Electrical
• Instrumentation
• Pipefitting
• Welding
• Core
• Management Education
• Safety Education

ABC hosts numerous events that Danos will participate in to help grow our downstream business. The pictures below were from a bowling event at the Rock-n-Bowl in New Orleans. Danos team members were able to network with future customers and clients. In addition, ABC will host a job fair at the Lamar Expo Center in Baton Rouge on March 10. This event will enable Danos to reach out to the current high school students and give them a vision for a path into our industry.

Our local high schools are high potential untapped resources for recruiting. With ABC’s help, we can shape an NCCER curriculum to fit the needs of young professionals within our workforce.

Danos bowling team members listed left to right: Materials Manager Derek Atkins, Operations Manager Clay Carter, Sales and Business Development Representative Chase Clement, Sales Manager Mark King, Operations Manager Clay Daugherty, and Project Services Admin Supervisor Mike Collins.

Attendees were able to bowl and network at the ABC Rock-n-Bowl event in January.
