This past month Danos honored the legacy of two fellow employees, former Senior Accounting Clerk Marie Foret and former welder/fitter Larry “Frog” Doucet.

Marie started working at Danos in 2000. For many years, she was the only cost clerk for the construction and fabrication departments.

“She was a rockstar,” said Operations Manager Eric Hood. “Marie was not only an excellent co-worker, but she was also a great friend. We spent 21 years working together and building a fantastic personal and professional relationship.”

Corporate Controller Melissa Adams said, “Marie and I have worked together since I started with Danos 15 years ago. She was the go-to person for project accounting in the Larose office and helped me with anything and everything I asked of her. She helped me work on older Exxon invoices and was a major player in all of the accounting flowing through the projects group. She never complained about pitching in. She was the person that did all the project billing. Everything ran through Marie. She was always a huge source of knowledge. She is a great friend and was always there if anyone ever needed an ear. She will be missed.”

A celebratory lunch was held at Danos Headquarters where Marie and her partner, Bobby attended. They were able to catch up with friends and enjoy one last meal in the Great Room. Marie received a plaque for her dedication and service.

Larry “Frog” Doucet started his career with Danos in 1987 at the age of 28 as a welder/fitter. He spent 35 years as a dedicated and loyal employee.

“Frog was one of the few guys that customers always requested on their projects. Whether you needed something measured, fitted or welded, he was the guy you wanted. He will forever be an icon for the industry,” said Eric Hood.

Construction Manager Johnny Finch said, “Frog does not ask for praise; he just lets his work speak for him. No matter who you are, after you work with Frog for the first time and see what he can do, you will ask for him on your next project.”

Frog’s retirement was celebrated in front of his fellow employees at the annual Danos boucherie. He was also awarded a plaque.
