Hazard Hunt

Hazard Hunt

Now through June, both field and staff employees have the opportunity each month to win $100 by participating in hazard hunts. We’ve already received great submissions from some of you.

  • Kevin Schneider, deep-water ballast control operator (LLOG) – During offloading operations of a supply vessel, Kevin requested the supply vessel move to west side of platform due to sea conditions.
  • Tommy Lecompte, lead shelf operator (QNE) – Crane operator was performing pre-use inspection of crane before performing a heavy lift. He noticed the cable on the load line was not stacking up right on the wench, and the anti-two block was not working. He immediately put load line on crane out of service then notified the field foreman and crane foreman. Two crane mechanics were called out to make necessary repairs.
  • Francisco Garcia, blaster painter (Shell) – Observed new 3rd party worker did not notice overhead crane operations were taking place. Was able to get his attention to stop him and told him to be more aware of overhead crane work.

 Keep up the great work!
