Congratulations to Coatings Project Manager Kim Dang for earning NACE Level 1 Certification! The Coatings Inspector Program (CIP) Level 1 certifies Kim with the ability to perform basic coating inspections on steel substrates using nondestructive testing and instrumentation.

This is an excellent qualification for Kim from a customer perspective, industry perspective and leadership perspective. It shows Kim knows the craftsmen quality aspects of her industry. From grading rust, removing rust, applying coatings and providing the customer with a high-quality product, the CIP Level 1 certification demonstrates that she knows what she is talking about.

To acheive the certification, Kim enrolled in a week-long classroom learning period with a hands-on certification and a proctored written exam. Typical candidates with this certification have five to 10 years of experience in the field before earning this level certification.

A graduate of Nicholls State University, Kim joined Danos in 2014 as a job cost clerk for coatings services and was promoted to project manager in 2019. Thank you, Kim, for living our purpose of developing great people.
