Commercial Supervisor Brittney Fremin joined Danos 10 years ago and has been nominated for Staff Employee of the Year seven times. She demonstrates all of the company’s values, particularly service and improvement. Brittney serves on the Danos Foundation Committee, dedicating countless hours to improve communities and change lives. Last year, she revamped the Danos GIVES grant procedure to better position Danos to help solve challenges for our communities. Brittney empowers teamwork and participates in coaching on a daily basis. She is helpful, respectful and lives Danos’ purpose through and through.

A coworker said, “Her attention to ‘service’ should be modeled across the organization. Her ‘wow’ factor is her ability to perform at a high level, regardless of how many bids or proposals are going through the funnel. She does all of this while smiling and being a joy to be around.”

A six-time nominee, Danos Information Security Officer Corey Stein has been with Danos nearly eight and a half years. Corey’s position in IT security requires a high level of professional and personal integrity in his actions with employees and customers. Last year, Danos sustained a highly secure and available operating environment for all employees during and after Hurricane Ida which is a testament to Corey’s planning and execution of our disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Corey’s leadership provided us sustainable operations to continue serving our customers and employees during a difficult time.

One of Corey’s teammates said, “Growing, learning and advancing my career are a few of the reasons I accepted the position to work at Danos, and Corey has been one of the main reasons I have been able to develop quickly. Corey honors God by being a respectful, caring and kind coworker who looks out for his peers, inspiring others around him. Corey continually solves big challenges behind the scenes."

Area Manager Greg Short has 10 years of service with Danos, and this is his second nomination for Employee of the Year. He leads the South Texas team with the utmost integrity and care for all under his leadership. He is passionate about the service we provide to our customers and has been instrumental in developing a high standard of customer service in the Eagle Ford. Greg demonstrates our purpose. He honors God in the way he works with a spirit of excellence. The development of people in South Texas is a result of Greg’s leadership. His group solves challenges for customers, and he also positively influences the lives of employees.

Greg’s coworker said, “Greg is loyal and continues to improve his business. He is a strong advocate in safety and leads his team with that value in mind. He faces challenges like border issues, language barriers and weak safety cultures from customers. Each time, Greg finds a way to improve. Have you met a person with more respect? He treats everyone how he wants to be treated. He makes us better in that regard.”

Marketing and Communications Manager Nicole Williams has been with Danos over 13 years, and she has been nominated for Employee of the year nine times. She honors God in the way she performs her job with integrity, patience, kindness and a servant’s heart. Nicole helps solve big challenges for our customers by creating marketing materials that separate us from our competitors and make our customers take notice. She lives our value of service every day. She continually looks for ways to improve, and it shows. In 2021, Nicole was responsible for the rebirth of the Danos website—a huge undertaking that she envisioned and directed. The result is a significantly improved site that is the face of Danos to the world.

A coworker said, “Nicole creates the visual representation of Danos for the world—employees, customers, communities and recruits. Her work is what people picture when they think of Danos. It’s a picture we have all come to expect, and maybe we have even grown blind to its value and impact because its high-caliber impression is now commonplace for us. Nicole sets the standard for marketing in our industry and is the reason Danos stands head-and-shoulders above our competition.”

A 10-time Employee of the Year nominee, Human Resource Manager Scott Friedlander has been with Danos for nearly 15 years. Throughout his time with Danos, Scott has lived the company values. He demonstrates the value of service as he is challenged to assume multiple roles and consider multiple internal customers. He is respected by his team, which is a result of the respect he first extends to them. He genuinely cares and works to position individuals to succeed. Scott has demonstrated Danos’ high-performance culture traits as he led the path forward with HCM, managing the ever-changing circumstances. In 2021, Scott’s empowerment of others within the recruiting team resulted in increasing and expanding the partnerships for sourcing candidates that will impact diversity, an area he is leading the way in.

Scott’s teammate said, “Scott is always ready for new challenges. He is an excellent team leader and inspires his teammates to give their best. Scott’s dedication has inspired the people around him. He has met his responsibilities efficiently during some of the most challenging times in his career—COVID, managing recruiting in an industry downturn, HCM implementation and Hurricane Ida. Scott exemplifies the core values of Danos.”
