Near Miss Watch Card: Timothy DarDar

After arriving for his regular crew change and starting his work for the day, Danos Shelf Operator Timothy DarDar noticed members of a construction crew who were working on top of scaffolding without wearing safety harnesses.

Tim used Stop Work Authority (SWA) to stop the job and address the safety issues at hand. All four members of the crew climbed down safely and were briefed on why what they were doing was unsafe. 

Just two days before his WATCH card submission, this was an agenda topic presented by General Manager of Projects Jerry Knight and emphasized by Owner Paul Danos at Danos' Safety Focus event that Tim attended.
