Permian Basin Milestone - Two Years With No OSHA Recordables

Permian Basin Milestone - Two Years With No OSHA Recordables

By: John Able |
Safety Manager of Shale Safety

On April 24, 2020, a Danos employee received second-degree burns because of a combustion chamber accident. The employee survived and has been able to return to work. He now uses his experience to share a message with others. This incident marked the last day which the Danos Permian Basin team had an OSHA recordable.

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the inability to see our employees and hold a safety meeting presented a unique challenge. The Danos field employees, along with the management team, continued to work safely despite these unique circumstances. This marks a milestone of 440,529 hours worked over the past two years.

Despite the adversity our company and industry has faced, we have managed to keep our employees safe. I would like to recognize both our Permian Basin operations team along with our shale safety group for keeping up the fight and working hard to keep our employees safe.
