Remembering the Life and Leadership of Martin Luther King

Martin Luther King Day is observed every year on the third Monday of January — on January 17 this year. King was an influential civil rights leader — best known for his work on racial equality and ending racial segregation in the United States. His life and achievements are remembered and celebrated on this day. 
 
While we honor the life led by King, we also reflect on his great strengths as a transformational leader. Countless articles and books have been written about his life and work,but take three minutes to read this author's take on three tenets of King's leadership approach. This approach strengthened not only his impact, but also compelled masses of people to look to him as an example to follow, both while he was living, and long after his untimely death.
