Danos Foundation

Community Grant Program

Danos GIVES is a grant program that awards funding to nonprofit organizations offering sustainable solutions that meet the needs of our neighbors. It focuses on addressing underlying root issues and building strong families.

Employee Volunteer Program

Danos WORKS encourages employees to give their time to serve nonprofit organizations that help solve community challenges. When employees log service hours, the WORKS program donates funds to these organizations.

Employee Assistance Program

You can depend on your Danos teammates to be there when times get tough. Danos CARES is an employee-driven initiative that assists employees who have needs arising from unexpected events.

The Danos GIVES grant program awards funding to approved 501(c) 3 or 170 (b) organizations that benefit people. This grant program is funded through charitable gifts from Danos employees and supplemented with funds from the company.

Interested in applying for a Danos GIVES grant? Please submit your online grant application by 11:59 p.m. on August 31, so Danos GIVES can learn about the mission of your organization and better understand how a grant can help you. Be sure to review our grant eligibility guidelines to make sure your organization is eligible.

Important note: Applications and attachments will only be accepted through the online portal and will need to be completed in one sitting. You can prepare your answers ahead of time with the "Grant Application Questions" document located in the Resources box.  Once you've gathered all your information, begin your online application. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.


Danos WORKS

Overview & Guidelines

The Danos WORKS program awards money to nonprofit organizations that Danos employees serve. The program encourages Danos employees to serve their personal time and lend expertise to organizations that help solve community challenges. This program is funded through charitable gifts from Danos employees and supplemented with funds from the company.

WORKS Guidelines

Danos WORKS will award $10 per hour for every hour a Danos employee serves his or her time at an approved nonprofit organization. Service hours can be recorded with multiple nonprofits.

Danos CARES

Mission

An employee-driven initiative, Danos CARES was created by and is funded by Danos employees through voluntary donations along with a matching donation from Danos. Funds are distributed to Danos employees who have needs arising from unexpected events.

A Danos CARES request is completed by the in-need employee’s supervisor, and assistance is allocated based on availability, need and approval.

Building Strong Families

We believe that a healthy family is the foundation to building strong individuals, strong teams and strong communities. Danos ROOTS is Christian-based programming for employees that fosters strong, healthy families. ROOTS is a long-term investment in our Danos community that will produce fruit over time.

You will receive email confirmation when your completed application is received. If additional information is needed, you will be contacted directly.

[ + ] What organizations or requests are not eligible for Danos Foundation support?
  • Non 501(c) 3 or 170(b) organizations.
  • Requests for general operating expenses.
  • Programs that support an individual or individual families.
  • Organizations with a primary purpose of influencing legislation.
  • School extra-curricular or athletic programs.
  • Organizations that discriminate on the basis of race, sex, ancestry, sexual orientation or religion.
  • Capital campaigns or endowments.
  • Organizations that operate or support activities that are counter to Danos’ Purpose and Values.
