Eric Danos Selected to LABI Board

Owner Eric Danos has been selected to the board of directors for the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry (LABI). LABI is the state’s largest business organization and a voice for the principles of free enterprise in Louisiana.

The board tenure for LABI is three years, and during that time Eric will work with the board, businesses and policy makers to build an attractive business environment in Louisiana.

“We want public policy to support free enterprise, not get in the way of it,” he says. He also adds that he wants to be “a strong voice for our company and our industry.”

Louisiana’s 2020 legislative session kicked off on March 9, and LABI is working on challenges across a variety of industries. Eric says that one of the biggest issues they are engaged in is tort reform, with a goal to lower the cost of auto insurance for Louisiana drivers, who currently have the second-highest rates in the country.

“I will also be focused on issues related specifically to our industry,” says Eric. “I am engaged with LABI’s Energy Council so that I can provide input on energy-related legislation.”

Danos has been a long-time member and supporter of the organization. In fact, Owner Hank Danos was a LABI board member and previously served as chairman of the board. Danos’ involvement with the group is closely aligned with our company purpose to solve big challenges for our customers and communities.
